Hawaii is a state of the United States. Hawaii was discovered by James Cook, a British explorer on January 10, 1778. The native Hawaiian islands is Polynesian tribes. King Kamehameha I who was born in 1758, was a great king who had dominion over the islands of Hawaii Kamehameha Dynasty around the year 1810 passed by his descendants until Kamehameha V, who died on December 11, 1872, which is the last successor Kamehameha dynasty. History of Hawaiian leadership was passed on by some big names such as Kamehameha family relatives Lunalilo, Kalakaua, Liliuokalani, until finally included in the set of countries colonized the United States in 1900, and passed as a state of the United States 50, on August 21, 1959. The islands of Hawaii are (and continue to be) continuously formed from volcanic activity initiated at the bottom of the magma source called a hotspot. As the tectonic plate beneath much of the Pacific Ocean moves to the northwest, the hot spot remains stationary, slowly creating new volcanoes. Due to the hotspot location, the only active volcanoes are located around the southern part of the Big Island.
