The Slovak Republic is a breakaway state of Czechoslovakia in Central Europe. The landlocked country bordered by the polish on the northern side, in the Northwest Republic, Ukraine to the east, Hungary to the south, and Austria in the Southwest. Until the revolution in 1989, Slovak growing sports sector is very centralized, integrated national program-oriented sport. In 1990, Law 173/1990 was adopted by the Federal Assembly of the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic, which replaced Law No. 68/1956 on Physical Education Organization. Also in 1990, the National Council of the Slovak Republic approved Law No. 198/1990 Physical Culture.
